Terms of Use

Last updated 31 July 2026

The service

VARdict tracks public transfer reporting by professional journalists and reporting accounts, and publishes reliability records built from that reporting. Using the site means accepting these terms.

What the scores are

Every score, tier, badge and verdict on VARdict is an assessment produced by applying our published methodology to a journalist's own public posts and to verified real-world outcomes (official club announcements and equivalent sources). Verdicts are reviewed by a person before they affect a published record. The scores describe a track record under that methodology; they are not accusations of dishonesty or professional misconduct. If you believe a record is wrong, contact @VARdictApp and we will review the underlying evidence and correct genuine errors.

Accounts

You need an account to use the app. Keep your sign-in details to yourself, and give us accurate information. We may suspend accounts used to abuse the service or other people.

Acceptable use

Do not interfere with the service, attempt to gain unauthorised access, scrape the site at scale, or use it to harass anyone, including the journalists it covers.

Content and ownership

Quoted posts remain the property of their authors and are shown with attribution and a link to the original, for the purpose of review and record. The site's own scores, design and text belong to VARdict.

No reliance

VARdict is an information service provided as-is. Reliability scores describe past reporting and are not a prediction, betting advice or financial advice. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for decisions made in reliance on the site.

Changes and law

We may update these terms; the date above changes when we do, and significant changes will be announced on our X account. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
