Portugal face Nigeria tomorrow night in an international friendly ahead of the World Cup, and on the pitch will be Tomás Araújo of Benfica, a player Bayern Munich have taken an interest in. There is a very strong possibility that you have never heard of him, but that is precisely the kind of profile Bayern increasingly find appealing these days. The fewer people who know a player exists, the fewer clubs are likely to be interested, and the lower the probability of Bayern finding themselves on the receiving end of yet another rejection, and after spending recent transfer windows accumulating refusals at a rate normally associated with spam email folders, that is increasingly being viewed as a competitive advantage in Munich. #AD (18+)
