Consistent stance from the club since rejecting a £8m offer. Chelsea remain interested and active knowing Xhaka is attracted by the prospect of reuniting with Xabi Alonso. Sunderland sources also acknowledge Xhaka was initially open to exploring a move to Stamford Bridge, but the club believe he is now committed and will lead them in Europe next season after further talks with the player.🇨🇭
