Harry Kane, through his representative, agent and brother Charlie Kane, has officially rejected a move to Barcelona in recent weeks despite numerous talks that took place, which were initiated by Barcelona sporting director Deco and manager Hansi Flick, both of whom were determined to bring the England superstar to Catalonia. There were several Zoom meetings as Barcelona tried everything in their power to convince Kane that the next chapter of his career should lie in Spain, much like they previously did with Robert Lewandowski. Ultimately, however, Harry Kane put the conversations on hold and instructed his brother and agent Charlie Kane to focus entirely on extending his contract at Bayern Munich, with formal talks alongside Bayern’s leadership expected to take place after the FIFA World Cup. Harry Kane is extremely happy in Munich, is not thinking about leaving at this stage, and remains fully focused on winning the UEFA Champions League with Bayern Munich.

But this isn’t something that can be done in a week or two. It’s about the details. I’m 33, so this will probably be my last contract – at least my last big contract. PLAY ON🚨🔴 Max Eberl confirms our exclusive news: Harry Kane is on course to extend his Bayern contract, with a new deal planned until at least 2029. “The contract talks have been incredibly harmonious. A player who very much wants to stay and a club that very much wants to extend. Of course, there are still details to clarify. Everyone in world football can see the role he has played, especially at FC Bayern. For me, a Ballon d’Or winner is not only about goals or titles. It is also about being a role model, and Harry Kane is exactly that, on and off the pitch. That is why Harry Kane is the clear choice for me.” @SkySportDE 🏴
